George Foreman’s signature infusion grill reinforces the big guy’s mantra of "knocking the fat out" by offering yet another healthy cooking technique. Infusion grilling combines grilling and steaming, producing familiar grill marks on the outside of your meat but keeping moisture and flavor inside. We have had 2 of these Fusion grills for many years now. We used to take them camping with us when we took a bunch of kids to the Kentucky Horse Park for Pony Club events. It was a great way to feed a group as the kids and parents could cook and eat bits at a time, which was much simpler than trying to get a big quantity of food ready all at once. Another mom liked it so much she got one too, so we'd set up one grill with bread brushed with olive oil for bruschetta, one with chicken and steak, and one with veggies. When the bread was done we'd put more veggies on it. I always just put butter and soy sauce in the cup with a little garlic and you have a simple marinade. We tried the skewers a few times but gave up on that. It works best for us just to put things straight on the grill and brush them with the marinade.

I just took the grills to a political event this past weekend and introduced a newer friend to them. She too reacted by saying "I have to get one of these!".

We usually cook onions, squash, portabello mushrooms, potatoes, sugarsnaps or snowpeas, green beans, and peppers. Also the recipe for bruschetta that came with the grill has been a huge hit everywhere we go. I'll take a basil plant with me camping and we make bruschetta and share it with neighboring campers and everyone always raves about it and says it's the best bruschetta they've ever had. I use a thinly sliced Farmhouse country bread for it.

Interestingly, everyone always reacts with surprise when I tell them it's a George Foreman grill--they always say they have never heard of it and wonder why it never got well-known like the other George Foreman grills, since they think it is an awesome cooking tool.

The only negative I ever found was that when plugging both grills into a power strip and extension cord when camping, we often blew the fuse and had to reset. They evidently pull a lot of electricity.

When I bought this thing 3 years ago I thought I might do kabobs on it but not only does it cook kabobs beautifully it also cooks tandoori chicken and tandoori bread!

I can't have an open flame grill where I live, and when I bought this I used it in the apartment. Now I take it on my patio to grill. I like the see-through lid which most of these grills don't have. It's too bad they've discontinued this product

I rec'd this for a gift about 4 yrs ago and I use mostly in the winter. I just love it!! It grills very well, the temp. control is great, and I can leave food on to keep warm.
I usually fill the infusion cup w/hot water, and the meats are more tender. It doesn't really "infuse" much flavor from it, but that's what seasonings are for.
I'm now looking for another GF item to buy!
