the handle is so cheap it broke trying to get the lid off. it's too small also, I'm returning this one and getting a different one, I always like Cusinart products but this tea kettle is a bad design.

I am very pleased with this stainless steel tea kettle. Everything about it I like. The handle is very sturdy, does not get hot, operates well, and the whistle is loud. It is made of a heavy gauge satin finish stainless steel so it won't get dents easily and won't get scratched or show fingerprints, etc. I just love the size, too. If you don't require one of those large 3 quart size tea kettles, you should seriously look into buying this one. 5 Stars all the way.

Usually I like Cuisinart products, but this kettle took forever to boil, longer than the cheap IKEA one it was replacing, and the handle was so hot I could barely touch it, let alone pick it up to pour. I liked the fact that there is a lid to permit cleaning inside and the whistle worked, but I returned it.
